The assignment
Delivering the network was one part of the job. The wider facility also needed computers, printing, fibre connectivity, telephony and security monitoring, with technical requirements coordinated alongside construction work.
My role and scope
I coordinated IT delivery and the three-person network team. Construction contractors and specialist vendors delivered their respective work.
My contribution
- Evaluated layouts and communicated HVAC, electrical and security requirements to the construction contractor.
- Oversaw a three-person team building the 300-drop network.
- Procured and installed 40 computers, 28 CCTV cameras, eight printers and five TVs.
- Coordinated fibre, VoIP and security monitoring, and reported and resolved facility issues affecting delivery.
